Dataset containing all data acquired by sensors during tests performed on a full-scale precast concrete building to evaluate the effectiveness of a novel approach for arresting collapse propagation.

Breaking continuity to prevent catastrophic building collapse – Experimental dataset 1 (Isolated fuses)

Results from tensile tests performed on modified mechanical couplers (fuses) designed to limit the tensile force that can be transmitted through them. Unlike conventional couplers, which are designed to be stronger than rebars, these fuses are conceived to facilitate the segmentation of a building structure in extreme scenarios in order to isolate a collapse.
The dataset also includes results from benchmark tests performed on continuous rebars and original (unmodified) couplers.
