We are pleased to announce the release of a new video presenting the #ENHANCE Project, a pioneering research initiative aimed at redefining structural retrofitting strategies for existing buildings.
The ENHANCE Project seeks to develop a novel approach to structural strengthening by introducing a system in which building floors are suspended from the roof. This innovative concept is designed to ensure compliance with the latest structural robustness requirements, offering a safe, efficient, and forward-looking method for upgrading existing constructions.
Launched in 2023 and spanning a total duration of four years, ENHANCE is a €600,000 Prometeo project awarded to research groups of excellence and hosted at the Universitat Politècnica de València, with funding from the Generalitat Valenciana.
In this new video, viewers will gain insight into the project’s motivation, scientific objectives, and methodological approach. The presentation also highlights the potential impact of this innovative retrofitting strategy on the future of structural rehabilitation, offering new pathways to enhance building safety and extend the service life of existing structures.
