Giacomo Caredda, Marina Oliver and Ana Sánchez have just joined Building Resilient

Two new researchers and a Grants Manager have just joined Building Resilient: Giacomo Caredda, Marina Oliver and Ana Sánchez.

Giacomo Caredda holds a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Università degli Studi di Cagliari, and joins Building Resilient as a pre-doctoral researcher. Giacomo has previous experience in computational modelling of civil structures and in seismic vulnerability assessment of existing buildings. His work in Building Resilient will be related to the risk assessment of civil structures and to the robustness of new and existing buildings regarding to progressive collapse.

Marina Oliver holds a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the UPV and joins Building Resilient as a Grants Manager. In recent years, she has been working as a projects manager and in grants management in the field of engineering. Her work in Building Resilient will be related to grants management, mainly focused on the management of the Endure project, an ERC Consolidator Grant.

Ana Sánchez holds a PhD in Geotechnologies applied to Construction, Energy, and Industry, and a master’s degree on Industrial Engineering. Her research is focused on automatic processing of LiDAR point clouds for inventory and inspection purposes, as well as the creation of digital models of infrastructure assets. Her work at ICITECH will be focused on the inspection and monitoring of bridges in order to avoid failure propagation.

We look forward to sharing many successful achievements with them.
