New Video Highlights Our Breakthrough Publications in Nature

We are thrilled to announce the release of a new video showcasing our major recent achievements in the field of structural engineering. Our research on progressive collapse has been featured in not one, but two publications in the prestigious Nature journal.

The first article, titled “Arresting failure propagation in buildings through collapse isolation,” marks a unique milestone as it appears on the cover of Nature — the journal’s first-ever article on the design of building structures. It introduces a new design philosophy to isolate collapse in unforeseen extreme scenarios. Read it here: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-024-07268-5

The second publication, “Latent resistance mechanisms of steel truss bridges after critical failures,” explores the structural robustness of bridges and the hidden mechanisms that allow them to withstand critical damage. Read it here: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-025-09300-8
