This line involves the strengthening and repair of reinforced concrete columns. This lines also includes the repair and strengthening of existing structures such as for example the work on cross vaults strengthened with Textile Reinforced Mortars.

While this project is led by colleagues from the UPV’s School of Architecture, our contribution consists of evaluating the existing damage, predicting the structure’s remaining life, proposing appropriate repairs and designing the monitoring system.
The building under study is one of Valencia’s most iconic and ambitious reinforced concrete structures and the project is financed by the John Paul Getty Trust’s Keeping It Modern program.
