Structural fuses for temporary shoring/propping systems

For some time, we have been doing research on the progressive collapse and robustness of temporary shoring systems used in RC buildings under construction. We have developed a structural fuse (load limiter) specially designed to avoid shore failures propagating by means of the domino effect. These fuses have the additional advantage of improving shore efficiency and reducing costs.

After designing the fuses, we have put them into action in a full-scale building in the ICITECH lab in a series of tests that has given magnificent results and confirmed our expectations when we started out on this new line of research.
